I wouldn't be scared off the '08. I have an '08 SG and ive ridden a bike with the new frame. There is some improvement but it's not all that and a bag of potato chips like some claim.
^ What he said.
What is all this "1 year parts" bs? What's so different on an 08 vs. 07 besides TBW, tank and rear cush hub?
People seriously consider parts availability for a freakin' 08 vs. 09 as a point to consider??? Boy that's a stretch!
I think that is too expensive for a 2008. I would look at '09 and newer. Eventually the previous generation bikes will start to have parts phased out. Additionally '08 is a year with some parts that will only fit that year.

I disagree completely. I think that is a very good price.
Mine is an 06 with the smaller tank and the 88". I still love this bike. I rode 10 RG and a 12 RK and the newer frame is better, but not night and day.
14.5K is a good price for that bike with that mileage.
My stabilizer was under $150 and took about a half hour to install. Several thousand more for the newer frame just isn't something I would do, but to each his own. I think a lot of what people are feeling is just the wider rear tire.
Well I priced it at the dealer and well its a 4K difference for new. I guess now it goes in to the debate of getting a 103 and all that fun stuff. Plus my dealer told me if Im in no hurry to stop back in they've got a Candy Orange Road Glide coming in soon... O the joy of thinking of upgrading. Thanks guys for the info!!!
