Gps usage??
I use both also. You really need to see the map in the event of an error like missing a turn or to avoid traffic you can look for other options
If the question is whether to use your phone for navigation or your GPS for navigation, my vote is for an actual GPS. I find the phones too hard to read (I'm not technically advanced enough to deal with wiring for sound!), plus you have to have a data connection which you don't always have everywhere. Either way, there are nice-looking mounts here: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/motorcycle-gps-mounts/ or http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/moto...-phone-mounts/
I glance at the screen as it tells me how far to the next turn. I occasionally don't follow the directions and I have been wrong 100% of the time, but I will continue this practice. Finding fuel is a valuable function that relieves stress.
I call Jill the bitch in the box so changed her to a mans voice right away. Don't need another woman telling me what to do. With a Road King I can only hear if traveling no faster than 40 MPH. If I really need to know where I am going I use the map as even that can be tricky, especially on city roads. It may say left turn but that may be off of a ramp so I follow the purple line for the road I am supposed to be on.
