I've been working on putting WO575's on my 2012 FLHTK. Got everything wired up over last weekend and had it all put together. I had tested out turn signals, audio controls, etc. before buttoning everything up the first time, so I'm pretty sure I got the control wiring correctly put back into the connectors. I had everything secured down when I went to start the bike and I noticed flashing CEL and cruise control lights. I used the power vision to read the codes and there were 3 codes referencing the twist grip sensor. I'd supply the exact codes, but my new problem is preventing me from doing that.
Tonight, I disassembled back far enough to pull the twist grip sensor out of the bars (had to remove the bars to get the right angle, so all of the electrical was disconnected from the fairing harnesses again). I assumed that the green plug that is now inside the handlebars had come loose because I just seemed like it might have trouble getting pulled through the bars. After pulling it out, I thought the smart thing to do would be to reattach the bars and wiring and then just hook up the twist grip sensor and make sure I don't get any codes. After having everything hooked back up (twist grip sensor is not in the bars...just loose for testing), I put the main fuse back in, the security light flashes but when I turn the ignition to run or acc, nothing happens. No gauges, radio, fuel pump, etc. Just keeps flashing the security light.
Any suggestions on what I might be missing. i've tripled checked all the wiring in the fairing and particularly the harnesses that I disconnected.
A little word of advice, check your wires going to the little green connector from the main harness, the purple wire on mine pulled out of the little green connector just enough not to make contact and gave 3 codes, P2127 TGS2 Low/Open, P2138 TGS Correlation Error (Twist grip sensor), P1510 EFI Limited Performance Mode. Also I'm thinking that the Twist Grip Sensor has to be installed in the bars and the bars installed on the bike for TGS to get the correct Correlation, I could be wrong though.
This is why I should not work late at night. Even thought I partially reassembled the ignition, I had the switch pushed down all the way in and it wasn't engaging the ignition properly. Pulled it out about an inch and turned it and darned if I didn't have power. TGS errors went away too, so now I'm going to solder my TGS at the green connector and reassemble.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious stupid things I could have done.
