hey guys a quick question..Im not sure if anyone is running the Hertz hcx165's in the lower fairing position but i ordered the 6.5 Harley speaker grills and they don't fit the Hertz..Just a hair too small..I tried to finagle them on but both of them broke.. Can you run any 6.5 speaker grill? , because Hertz does not make a grill for the Hcx series..
Welp..after probably too much research and thinking what the hell i wanted to do i made a decision and placed my order... I'm going with upper and lower Hertz HCX165 's powered by a Biketronics BT2180... Why did i go this way. Well it seems after reading alot..the rear speakers really do not have that much effect on what you hear in the front... Makes sense..and plus i wanted the versatility of the Street Glide still being able to take the tour pack on and off very easily..so that's why i went with a 2 channel amp..I think this should definitely do what i want..Hear clearly at highway speeds, and do it right the first time.. So just wanted to update everyone and with the holiday i would assume the parts will arrive in a couple of weeks. ..i wil post up once i get everything and start the install...

The thing rocks!...Now i have only powered everything up for about 20 minutes to take a listen and haven't gone for a ride yet because of the snow in the Northeast but garage listening, i have the thing set at half way and its blasting!.. I love it...Cant wait to get a real ride in to see how she is at highway speeds..Im sure just from what i heard ,it wont be a problem...What speakers are you running??
And also i went with the 2 channel because im only running upper and lower speakers... I wasn't interested in added to the rear tour pack, lids or anything else..Its like a wall of sound blasting in your face..Happy Camper over here!

I've got the Titans 6.5's coming with the amp and sony head unit. I also have a pair of Polks sitting in the garage so not sure which speakers I will go with yet.
