The inner fairing is the most expensive part. If you were patient, you could get good take-offs for less on ebay and the like.

I order all the parts new, and split between Lake Shore and New Castle, the total was approximately $2300. These included primed/bare fairings. HD doesn't offer my color in a RG front end.

For me, the cost has gone higher, because I added apes to my SG, and they would not fit the RG. So new apes, and some other small details, and it adds up quick.

Still, even if I could trade it in and get a good trade, I'd be out all my previous mods, my memories on the bike, and a buttload of money on taxes and registration. Cheaper to convert.
