Default SG to RG conversion question

For those of you who have done it, I need to know what wiring harness is required that the SG does not have. I have searched but cannot find this info. I believe it is called an inter-connect harness, but I have not been able to find out for certain and don't want to waste cash on the wrong thing.

Thanks.

No one has an answer? I know there are some of you that have done this, or know of someone that has.

i haven't done it, but thinking about it, it seems that the wiring harness for the sg should be the same one as the rg. unless you're making it an ultra. otherwise, whats the difference between the two other than the headlights?

I've created a spreadsheet for this conversion, with all the part numbers needed.

You're welcome to it. It has pricing for parts from LSHD1 and New Castle.

LMK. I also have the list from the gang that did this originally. My list has all the newer part numbers, like the brackets for the 2010+ models that move the fairing to accommodate the factory lowers from any touring model.

Also, since your FLHX is a 2011, you'll probably want the harness that came debuted in 2010.

70274-10 Fairing Interconnect Harness $216.00 (New Castle) Fairing harness for FLTRX Fairing

Yes, I would appreciate that if you don't mind. I have found an online microfiche for look up of all hd parts, including diagrams and order sheets if you are interested. Let me know, and I will send you my email address by pm.

Thanks.

It is not the same from what I have read, but have yet to figure out what the harness is for.

I got your PM, and I'll send it tomorrow (I'm on my iPad).

The harness is the one that lives in the fairing. Same connections, but different wire lengths. It connects all the gauges on one end, and interconnects to the main bike harness on the other end.

The SG harness would not fit.
