Default Ape insane, Help

I need to get my apes ordered. I think I have it down to Carlini Flying or Gangster apes. I'm also thinking about the 1.50's
I'm 6'3 tall. and will be putting these on my Road King
I want a bar that will allow me to run my windshield and still look good.
I want my bar height to be under my shoulders so that after mirrors are installed nothing blocks my line of sight.
I know Carlini's run on the tall side. I was thinking of 14 inchers.
Pics and thoughts would help.
Thanks

Well i was in the same situation. I'm 6'4" and wanted apes on the RK, yet also didnt want to lose the option of my windshield when I want it. I went with 16" Carlini Gangsters. I considered the 1.5's too but they were much too wide for me, even wider than my beach bars. I didn't want to spread my arms that far out, so I stayed with the 1.25's. I have my bars pulled back enough to run my windshield on there so I'm getting the best of both worlds. I've seen pics of me riding and my hands are at shoulder height and very comfortable. I cant imagine the bars any wider or taller. The 16's worked our perfect for me. 14's would have been too low for me. For the 16's, I went with +8" on brake lines and cables and +12" on the electrical extensions.

Any more questions, just fire away!

Im 5-8" and the 14s came shoulder height for me so 16s should put you where you want it.

I believe the only Carlini bars that run high compared to the stated height are the 1.25" Flying Apes. I have the 16" and they are really 17.5". There was a footnote on their webpage about this issue. SJ Ron

You should be just fine with the 16" Gangsters. That's what I am running and can also install my windshield. I love mine!!!!

16" flyin apes. I went with the 1.5" thick and they are worth every penny. They are a little wider than the 1.25 but feel great to me.

here is a side view and a freeway view with the windshield on. Keep in mind my seat has 2" cut out of the back so I sit further back in the saddle, and I also cut 4" off my windshield. I'm right at 6' with my boots on.

I went with 16" Wild 1s, and they fit perfectly behind the windshield. I have mine pushed forward about as far as they will go.
