Riding to work at oh-dark-thirty this morning I thumbed the dimmer for high-beams and got an eyefull of darkness. Nothing but the amber running lights until I clicked back to low. That'll sure wake you up on a twisty farm to market road.

I tried a few more times... sometimes it would work fine, sometimes nothing. Guess I'll have a little warranty work for my friends at Gruene H-D when I take it in for 1000 mile service. Other than that, I'm loving the Limited!

 

Had the same issue on my 1991 FLHTCU and found a pin had pulled back in its connector inside the fairing.

 

Spray a little contact cleaner (Available at auto parts or electronic stores) in the switch and use it a few times.
