It wasn't a crack I scraped it knife and it came off. As far as the 4k plug it did seem to come out easy so maybe just loose. The 1k plug does not have oil on the treads. I wish I could have seen the plugs at the 1k service. I am still wondering if the stage 1 A/C breather hole from the head is not complety clear? Or it could be as simple as bad tune for the front cylinder? I know if I take to Harley they will say it's normal Well aleast till the warranty runs out.
If it is still under warranty...def. take it in and if they say "normal" at least you have a record showing that it started while still under warranty, so that if it blows up (or something) next month you can point a finger at this being a problem before the warranty ran out and so should be fixed for free....personnaly I think they will say there is something wrong...oh, and if the plug was not in real tight wouldn't cause a oil on the plug issue...
Ok Sorry for the crappy pic's, but here goes. The first pic is at after 1000 mi. the next had 4000mi. Now the ground strap was pointing at 6 oclock for the plug that has 1k on it.
I can try to get better pic's if needed. LOL
From the looks of that plug you could just be running too rich in that cylinder. Rich will run cooler and as a result the fine oil mist coming in from the breather via the induction module isn't being burned properly. It's coating your plugs instead. A good tune might cure the problem.
If it's still under warranty have them look at it. If not then it doesn't sound that bad to me, just ride and monitor it. Do you have oil consumption? How often do you have to add oil? How many miles on the bike?
To avoid confusion I would start with two clean plugs gapped 0.040, you don't need new ones. If there is oil seeping into a cylinder you will smell it immediately. It's not a good thing to scrape the electrode with a knife because the line you see is electrically conductive.
I just made a small scrape though the solid black line to see if it was a crack.

Agreed. I should drop a email to Jamie and have him look at this.

The motor has 6k on it. The oil level does not seem to move between oil changes.
Sorry for all the posts I need to learn how to muti-quote. Also I am not getting any emails for replys to this thread.
I just changed my plugs for the first time on my 2010 Street Glide and the rear cyclinder had a mild but noticable two toned coloration on the ceramic insulator tip as well. It was not wet or black oily, just a slighty darker tan on one side and a lighter tan almost white on the other side of the insulator. I also ran the bike in the garage for a short time to circulate the new oil I put in for storage and just prior to changing the plugs. Bike runs just fine and uses absolutely no oil between 4k oil changes. I think it is as noted above, and its just the intake valve just opening and the cool mist hitting the plug and then the bike is shut down. Two tone insulator does not appear to be a big issue but the oil would concern me. If I ran my bike down the road and shut it down without using the clutch etc and then checked plugs at normal operating temps I'd bet the insulator would be uniform in color. Try cleaning and chasing your front cylinder threads and putting in a new plug. Use a little never seize on the new plug threads and torque to 12-18 Ft/lbs. I'd err at around 15. Bet your oil issue goes away?
Sorry I forgot to get back to you guys. Installed a new plug and cleaned out the hole and surrounding head. Must have been something their or the crush washer was bad. She has no more problems. Nice light tan color and no oil any where.
