I changed my plugs at 5000mi and notice the front plug was half tan and half oil. So I installed new plugs. Now after about 1000mi I pulled both plugs to check and the same damn thing on the front 1/2 and 1/2. The rear looks great a nice tan color. I can post some pictures later if needed.
look for white smoke from the tailpipe, if you are burning oil on deccel that shows that the valve seals are gone
if on accel, it shows that the piston rings are not sealing properly to the cylinder wall.
in either case the fix requires the top end come off

Hi Mike
It looks wet at the one side edge and also on the treads. I do smell a wiff of burnt oil when riding it very hard some times. That could be coming from the stage one A/C. Because I see a small amount of oil in the bottom of filter. Could it be the front breather bolt being slighty plug?
Thanks
Again

Consider the ceramic isolator as a self cleaning element that requires a specific time and temperature to burn away it's contaminants.
The line/mark lets you know how the plug is oriented in relation to both valves.
When the mixture of fresh air and fuel enters the chamber, part of the flow hits the spark plug and cools the area of ceramic exposed to the intake port. If there is no gradient of the (light tan) coloration on the electrode this means the average electrode temperature is correct. Traces of oil are diffused in a mist and usually pyrolized by the electrode.

So I need to index the plug. Then it will tell me where the cold spot is. Ok then what next and where do you get shims for the plugs? Or can just swap front to back plug to index?
