OK now that apple has an iPad mini small enough not to take control of my fairing, I want one instead of the radio and GPS.
I can get the iPad mini wifi/cellular for $459
It can control everything I need on the road. Tunes GPS facebook etc.
Now who is going to be the first to integrate it as a Harmon Kardon replacement?
The size is perfect!
It will fit just need connections and integration into the controls
Height: 7.87 inches (200 mm)
Width: 5.3 inches (134.7 mm)
Depth: 0.28 inch (7.2 mm)
Its been done with the regular ipad and ipad 2, this mini just came out, should be the easiest of them all due to its small size,'
I too want to integrate one.
I am going to get a tank dash mount on my Road king for my smart phone to use gps and stuff, but is this mini will work I might sneak it into a lower fairing and connect it to my controls.
I wonder if FBI will do one, they have the I fairing now.
i have used my ipad on a couple of road trips and it works fine with the 30 pin ipod connector in my saddlebag. I use a speck case in a neoprene sleeve.
I would be interested to see if a lightning to 30 pin adapter for the new idevice interfaces will work using the harley ipod interface. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...30-pin-adapter
