My thought is just in case PC-V failed, I can bypass the PC-V and return to factory setting, with the attached XIEDs back in the O2 sensors, at least the bike won't run too lean.

Just don't want to get stranded in middle of nowhere if the PC-V fails. So far (over 12k miles), no problems.
Ya. You are over engineering things. On a bike with pipes and breather you don't have to worry about going lean. It will run the stock tune, which has proven to be just fine for those who didn't blow any money buying an unnecessary tuning device for their exhaust and breather mods.

I have used Power Commanders for years with no problems, Each was a plug in series unit and could be removed from the circuit by simply unplugging 2 connectors and reconnecting 1. Connectors are easy access and time to remove from circuit maybe 5 inutes including pulling the seat.

I have had no problems at all with mine unplugged on my 12 SG I had a problem with my throtle control and when it was in the shop the mechanic told me I needed to plug my 02 sensors back in but after checking with the tuner and Fuel Motto I was assured that the 02 sensors needed to stay unpluged. I havent had any problems or codes at all very satisfied with my PC5.

I have PCV5 on 2012 SG, removed 02's and no codes. However it is harder starting, esp in the cold.

Default Pc-v

I have the 12 street glide and was running the fl xied and decided to change over to the pcv. Now its hard to start. I've talk with fuel moto and then referred to dyno jet about this problem and it turns out its just the nature of the beast! no fix for it....

Have the PC-V on my '12 Ultra Classic with the O2 sensors unplugged and secured out of the way with a wire tie. The wrench at the dealership said it will throw a code but it is just historical and will not cause a check engine light to come on. Never had an issue and the bike runs great.

I find when the motor is warmed up, if I wait for the fuel pump to stop pumping before hitting the starter, it does take not fire up right away. If I hit the starter as soon as I turn the key it fires right up. The only explanation I have is the fuel delivery is richer at start up and I don't need to cycle the fuel pump with the PCV. I do have 5% more fuel being delivered for decel popping (see map for reff):

Try Tucci's method if that describes your problem. I'm not sure about later models, but on my '07 it had something to do with the circuit powering the PCV, which would be momentarily interrupted and the PCV would reboot. When that happened the engine wouldn't start until the boot process finished a few seconds later. There's no need to wait after turning on the ignition switch, and hitting the starter immediately after turning on the ignition may fix your problem. Let us know.
