I finally got around to ordering one for my King today from my Indy. My bike is put away for the Winter so as soon as Spring gets here I'll be back on 2 wheels and I will up-date any improvement I might feel. Winter Sucks.
""""After my install, the primary is less noisy when first starting but when everything gets hot and this is a hit & miss thing, when you start it again, there's a lot of noise (whirling sound) coming from the primary area. Pull the clutch in, noise is still there, so I can't blame it on a bearing issue.
Running the first edition SE Comp & HD Formula +.....Like I said, only happens after bikes been run a long distance, shut off and then restarted (doesn't make any difference if it sits 5 minutes or 1/2 an hour) but it doesn't happen all the time...""""
I posted the above a few pages back and just today I contacted Hayden Enterprises about the issue.
Within a few hours I got a response from Kathy stating that they have had a few issue with the M6BT07 tensioner like I described and have beefed up the springs on the units. She is sending me out new springs to install.
I think that's great customer service, seeing there's a problem with their part, fixing it and sending out a new part to a customer without any costs.
So, if anyone else has the symptoms that I described above, by all means contact Kathy at Hayden and I'm sure she will do right by you.
