Speeding Ticket on the RG
I pull over, see the cop behind me, amazed that the cop is pulling me over. He walks up and says, "I clocked you at 65 in a 50." My jaw drops. I have not gotten a ticket in 25 years, safe driver record and I know I was not speeding. I was in the slow lane with people passing me!
With my spedo being off slightly, I would have had to have been showing 68mpg on my speedo to be clocked at 65 (speedo 3 mpg off) in a 50 zone. There is no way....
The cop comes back and says, "I gave you a break. Instead of $266, it's only $166. and 3 points instead of 4."
So instead of heading the HD dealer to buy some goodies, I turn around go home and now I'm trying to figure out how to take an online driving school and pay this ticket. Not getting any ticket in 25 years, have no clue where to begin.
Enough of my rant, gotta start searching the web to figure out payment/school.
Ride safe out there.

Not a soul in sight. Haven't seen another vehicle for 20 minutes.
So..... I open her up a bit. It's a brand new BMW K1100RS, just broken in a couple weeks before.
I'm clocking 128 mph for MILES, when all of a sudden I get that weird hair standing up on the back of my neck feeling.
Sure 'Nuff, here comes the 21 year old just got out of the academy Colorado State Trooper, pulling me over, pulling his damn gun out and pointing it at me, shaking like a leaf........ I was fu&*ing praying that he didn't accidentally pull the trigger.
Made me drive 109 miles back in the wrong direction to the county seat to see the Sunday judge, who had a little pity on me seeing that I had been on the bike now for 12 hours and still had to hit Estes.
Fine? $500.00 big ones!!!!! As it was a camping trip, mostly just up old fire roads in the mountains, the fine cost me more than the whole trip!
I sold the K-Bike and bought another Harley. Now I pretty much just enjoy the scenery, staying at about 9 over the limit max.
It was still a damn good motorcycle vacation!

He says "you were clocked at 58 in a 45, what's your excuse?"
I told him I wasn't late or anything... no excuse, really.
He takes my license, registration and insurance back to his bike.
Comes back and asks what I ride.
Then we had a little conversation about bikes.
Then he says, "slow down... and thanks for not handing me some bullshit excuse."
No ticket... this time.
