Do a search because someone has a step by step on removing it. I for one would take a lot of pics. as i started the removal, then label the wiring from each instrument gauge. You will love the look of the painted inner . Good luck
Label all connectors. Removing the radio makes spreading the bottom of the fairing bracket to remove a helluva lot easier. I also drew up a diagram on paper labeling where each connector rested at inside the fairing.
I did mine myself. I just snapped pictures along the way just in case I ran into problems while putting everything back together.
I listened to a ball game, drank a few beers along the way and had zero problems. My advice is don't psych yourself out, take your time, and you will be fine.
I just did mine 2 days ago. Dealer wanted way to much. I agree will all the comments from other. I also had the Service Manual. Did not have the parts manual which shows all exploded views in more detail. Take your time, label all the connectors, and take alot of pictures between each step.
see my thread here on "ineer fairing paint party" if you are near Atlanta. I am trying to get a few people who want theirs swapped by Paul and he will come to atlanta and do them if I get enough to make it worth his trip.
