I am 6'5" and a brother of mine is putting apes on his 95 Badboy Springer.....16" were below my shoulders sitting on the bike...actually felt very good...
We put 16" Gangster Apes on my Dad's bike. Attached is a pic. He's about a hair under 6'. I'm 6'2 and have 16" BR Customs. Both of us are right about shoulder height with both sets of bars. ( Comfort level has been perfect. I could have went taller, but went for comfort over cool)
I ordered the bars, riser adapter, and cable kit right from Carlini.
And my 14 yr old sitting on mine, he's about 5' 10 for reference.
I'm sure if you call Carlini's they can tell you all that info.
Carlini don't know chit! I called them to ask them what size cables I needed and they said they don't know! They said they know what kit to sell me but could not tell me the length of the cables themselves. I am currently in dispute with them because they sent me 18" gangster apes instead of the 16" I ordered and they don't want to make it right. Horrible customer service!
