I think 12"sovereign 10s..... But it's all preference. I'm 5'6" and always had beach bars..... Rode my father in laws bike with 14s and they felt great....
I ordered me 16s, and they might be just a tad too tall.... But I don't think you will complain that the 12s are too tall at all.....
BTW, if you do go 10's you only need a clutch cable. Everything else reaches just fine.
Need info on the above statement from those that installed 10's. I am in the process of getting ready to order them and have sent a request to Barnett for a quote on all the cables. I plan on running the wiring and cables just like they came from the factory(outside). do you have to lenthen the front brake hose's, etc..

Hopefully someone else will chime in, but my understanding is, Inside or outside the 10 bars require new clutch cable only, the rest will fit.

Hey Joe,
I ran MBB 10's. They are in my sig. Didn't touch brake line, wires were long enough, and I went +2 on clutch cable. I ran all my wiring internal. Why would you not run it internal??? Makes all the difference in the world to have all those wires out of sight!

Leeme know if I can be of more help...
I just want to do it the easiest way, I will most likely be doing it myself and don't want to cut or disconnect a bunch of wires, etc. I spoke with PY's employee and he said I would need 6+ cables. I didn't think I would and thanks for clearing that part up. Looks like I will be ordering the bars and clutch cable this week or next. Wife asked what I wanted for Christmas, so now I know..Again thanks
Contrary to what a lot of others say - I'm 6'2", and I put the 10" monkeys on my StreetGlide and they fit and feel great. I've heard a lot of other guys say "go bigger", but I just couldn't disagree with it more. To each his own.
Remember that when the thought finally hits you....damn I shoulda gone taller ( its inevitable just wait).
Yup and yup. As far as comfort go's everyone says go one size higher. You can pull them towards you if needed which will bring them closer and have the effect of shortening them.
Mike and I are totally on the same page here with looks. Looks-wise the 10's are perfect. They are right at the fairing and I don't like the looks of going higher (personal opinion of course). Since I am 6 ft. and do want my arms higher I am looking very seriously at the FBI drop seat kit so I can lower my *** which will have the effect of higher bars.

Just to make sure I don't seem like I'm flip-flopping: If you like the looks of the 12's do it. Make sure to post pics when ur done.
Good info...crazy, we both ride the same bike, color and all. I am going to the 10" apes for 1 reason, I'm 6'5" and when I turn tight, the bars jam against my knee and the tank. I'm just looking for enough clearance over my long legs. I don't care for the look of apes over a fairing and I don't want my hands out in the air stream so I think the 10" are about right. My problem is I don't want a lot of pull back in my bar. I really like the Klock Werks Ergo Up but I'm afraid they are not tall enough to clear my knee and Yaffe doesn't list the specs of his bagger bars on his site so I'm kind treading water here till I can find what I want. I know I don't like the profile of my stock bars....too low and too much pull back.
I went with the WO578 (10") and the clutch cable just has to be changed. The wiring has to be put inside the bars becasue there is no dimple for the wires to go underneath for the controls to tighten. I went with 10's because I wanted my hands still behind the fairing
I'm 6"2 and I oredered the 10s. Rode a SG with 10s on and they felt right. I like the tall bars on all touring models, but I wanted something that is near the fairing for a cleaner look.
