Help! Slider probablem

my 2010 has the same part number as a 2000 model, with the exception of an A suffix on the end. i would suspect that if you had an earlier bike and went with the pn from the oem parts manual that the dealership would not be able to get it, they would be getting the updated number. the axle size is irrelevant, despite the difference, the ends of the axle are the same size.
