Some are owners and some are riders. All you have to do is hose it off real well when you get home. In my opinion why spend that much money and let it sit. Just my 2 cents worth.
I grew up working in the autobody repair industry in Ohio. If you think you can ride or drive in the winter conditions there without accumulating salt damage to your vehicle you are mistaken. I don't care if you wash it everyday.

Yep! I've had two cars in my life that never intentionally saw rain, let alone salt. A 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP and a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. Always have another beater around to drive when the weather is shitty.

Turning this into a "big dick swinging contest" on the playgrounds ??
I'll ride 12k miles each season on my R/G......all recreational, not work related.
Evidently I'm a poser and not a rider by your standards, as I put my bike away
before the roads get $hitty and bring it out after the salt / calcium chloride residue is gone.
I guess that makes me a poser also. Ive only put 9000 miles on the bike so far this year no salt on the roads yet but I will be done the day the salt hits the road.
...jeesh..how does it turn into a pissing contest so fast...all I know is around here in Mass, there are lots of us who like to take a ride during the winter if we can, every Jan 1, there's a "Frosty-*****" run...hell...last year was unreal! 60-70-even 80!!! degrees in Dec-Jan-and Feb...all we DID was ride all winter...and laugh at the poor suckers who take their bike off the road to save $100 bucks on their ins.......to each his own,
