If I saved $100.00 on my insurance I would still feel bent over forward. Accidents have consequences.

If I have weather in the winter that was safe, I will ride my bike as well.
Don't kid yourself if you think liquid calcium wont corrode your bike, no matter how much you rinse, in fact water activates the corrosive properties.
We have no choice here, insurance coverage is yearly because the insurance thieves know most riders will only go 6 months since at least 3-4 months are unrideable.
What pisses me off are the loudmouths who figure if you dont ride all year, or god forbid put your bike on a trailer or don't ride in a hurricane you are a *****. We have a window of opportunity here where I live to ride about 7 months, I put on about 16,000 miles but dont brag about it.
If you can ride all year where you live, good for you, I'm jealous but I also have common sense about where I live and the limitations of the traction of a 2 wheel vehicle.
I notice a lot of the posts about how they ride no matter the weather are from arctic climates like Texas, Florida, Georgia (home of the 3 foot snowfalls).
Get a grip, we would all like to ride all year but some of us can't or are not stupid enough to ride on snow covered roads, which, coming from someone who lives where it really snows, I really doubt you do.

Black ice, the only thing worse than snow.

Yeah that pileup was bad, sadly 2 fatalities, send me a msg next time your driving through as I am only about 10 miles south of Beaumont. I'll ride to college Station with you if your on your bike, take 105 north end of Beaumont and its nice riding the whole way and actually faster then the interstate, We plan it right we can get you that "been there, done that rode in a Hurricane"T-shirt

Mag choride is the devil in a liquid form-----------------it doesnt matter if you wash it immediatley the stuff is attracted to aluminum and it will spot it and pit it.The stuff gets between your wheel and tire and will eventually force it off the rim and go flat.I wont even ride in the spring rains until that stuff gets flushed off the road.I have dealt with it on my trucks and it is awful to say the least.I wouldbt care if the bike was only $2000 it still would sit-----------call it what you want but anything that can turn a 3/8 truck frame rail into swiss cheese in a few years doesnt have any business on a sheet metal neck on my motor cycle

When the first salt truck goes down the road the bike and the hotrod are locked in the garage until spring washes that crap away. Even the sleds ride in an enclosed trailer on the salty roads....a 5 year old snowmobile that has been hauled on an open trailer will be worth at least a third less than one hauled in an enclosed trailer. Road salt damages the instant it hits.
