My fiance bought me a PV for my birthday a few months ago. She didn't get it from Fuel Moto (who I had suggested). I've never dealt with FM but their reputation for customer service and support is very good, and to me, that's worth more than the few dollars I'd save buying elsewhere. That said, as women love to do, she shopped around and found it for about $100 less than FM's price. I was concerned that if I ever had any problems where would I turn to for help, etc. That's when I realized, it's not their product! I'm sure the manufacturer would stand behind it if need be.

Well, I installed the software on my computer, updated it, and loaded a map in my bike without any trouble whatsoever! The bike runs very well on the map I got from Dynojet. I plan on trying out the AutoTune feature when I get a nice day.

When I do the stage 1 this winter (pipes, A/C & mufflers) I plan on using parts bought from FM -- hopefully Santa brings some of them! From everything I've read about FM, I'm pretty sure they'll help if I run into any tuning problems, especially if I'm using their stuff, albeit not a PV bought from them. If not, I'll turn to Dynojet or this forum for help, and I know I'll get the problem solved.

But I'm not really too concerned. The PV is so easy to use I doubt I'll have any trouble getting the bike dialed in right, at least as best as can be expected without a full on dyno tune.

Not sure what your setup is websterdan, but a while back FM had a package deal for the PV and air cleaner for about $525 if memory serves. It was a great deal that I would've jumped on if I hadn't gotten the PV already.

Would there be any advantage to use a PV tuner a purely stock bike? Would there be any improvements?

As in most industries there are companies that are willing to sell a given product for near dealer cost, it brings consumers to them in hopes they purchase multiple items, many times the only incentive they have to offer is low pricing. In most cases any vendor can do this with nearly any product. I have been in the motorcycle industry since 1991 (when I dropped out of college, sorry dad) and have seen many companies come and go since that time especially those that focused their business model on absolute lowest price, several of them in recent years were sponsors on HDForums. Simply put, you cannot sell your parts at or near your cost and stay in business for the long run especially if you have a building, a staff of employee's, and other business related expenses. Pricing wise Fuel Moto offers discounted pricing on the products we carry, but as many of you know we focus more on value added service to support these products with the maps we develop and distribute, the extended warranties, and our support before and after the sale, and so on. We simply cannot specialize in tuning products and sell the products for dealer cost, we do however receive calls and emails everyday from those that have purchased elsewhere looking for maps, product support, pleading for help. Most times we are able to help out and many times gain a customer for life. The best advice I can recommend is doing your homework and choosing the product and vendor that fits best with your requirements and budget, and if Fuel Moto fits your needs you are welcome to contact us. With that being said we greatly thank all of the individuals that have support Fuel Moto over the past decade, we currently have over 50,000 users running our tuning products.

Yes there are advantages of tuning even a stock bike, as the fuel mixture and igntion timing is far less than optimal. You will generally see cooler running, better throttle response and increased performance. We have a wide range of "Improved Stock" Power Vision calibrations and if you decide to make additional mods down the road we can email new maps as you need them.

My experience has been that if you buy from FuelMoto you get their support as well as DynoJet. That is the best of both worlds.

I have a PV with 2 licenses. One for my '12 FLHTK and one for my '03 FLSTCI.

I originally bought it for the Ultra and FM sent a map that was a lot better than the Harley download I was running for my set-up. When I add their header, I will be contacting them for another MAP for that set-up.

After buying a license for my '03, I contacted FM about a map for my '03 with it's mods. They responded quickly and told me they didn't have a map for my particular set-up. They gave me a name of someone to contact at DynoJet. I sent him my current map and he sent me a tweeked version of that map. Once downloaded, that '03 ran like a totally different bike.. awesome.

I think the combo of support from FuelMoto & DynoJet is an unbeatable combination and I did/would again pay extra for that service

FWIW....... No kool-aide here, I came to that conclusion as a 35 year Harley owner/rider. I know how to weed through the BS, so I love the fact that I can get tons of info on the internet about products and companies, before doing business with them.

Just my 2 cents.......

I think the fact that FM takes the time to read the boards and answer questions pretty much answers your question!

Do you have a tuner currently? I plan on taking advantage of the trade in program that gives you 150.00 credit towards the purchase of the PV.

Best of both worlds... great customer service oriented company and a competitive price!
