Waiting for advice on light problem
Still waiting for some advice on the problem with turn signal not working and break lights not working and odmeter not working except when button pushed, flashers come on for 1 or 2 seconds when singal button pushed.
from his other thread 2004 FLHR. no info on other mods. or info on past history of the bike...
OP, you'll have to get a wiring diagram and go through from the battery to the front end, checking and cleaning all the connections.
this will only take time. you can use a contact cleaner ( plastic safe, read the label) as well as a nic sand type fiberglass pen to clean the pins and sockets.
some also use dielectric grease although I do not as it may trap moisture in a connector.

Seemingly those things don't have anything in common. Last summer I hooked up a Hawg Wired install kit so I could use the handlebar controls with my new radio. The install kit had a problem and caused all kinds of unrelated things to go wrong. The radio was one of them and the first thing I fixed, when I replaced the install kit everything else went back to normal. So you might want to take a look at what has been added on to the bike, it doesn't have to be a short or anything obvious, one bad component is all it takes. Things get weird sometimes. You might try disconnecting one thing at a time and see if it clears up.
The advise given on add on gadgets causing the problem is the most common problem for electrical gremlins. It's a time consuming feat to find problems of the nature you have and there is no way to guide you through the chase from a desk chair, you'll have to get your wireing diagram and go through the process or take it to someone along with a few bills. A good buddy and a few beers sometimes goes a long way if he has electrical knowledge.
