My opinion only, I would be very hesitant to buy another bike without ABS. In fact that is one of the reasons I traded in my Super Glide so I could get ABS. I found switching from my Goldwing with ABS to a non ABS entailed me to really concentrate and be more aware of the conditions. Now with both bikes with ABS, I can take that off my plate. If for no other reason to me it's a "piece of mind" thing.
It came on the bike I bought- the 09 will stop in almost 1/2 the distance of the 1995 EGC.
so I was impressed.
riding on dirt gravel is now much easier, I can brake hard if I need to, the abs will help keep me from skidding out.
the security is also another happy surprise, a little more piece of mind when walking away from the bike.
add the $6 radio shack piezo instead of the $69 HD siren kit.
DO set the PIN, nothing sadder than the post from the guy stranded because he didn't set the pin and the fob is lost
I didn't have ABS on my 2010 Road King. The new Road Glide has it and I definitely notice the distance. I wasn't sold on it before but I wouldn't ride without it now.
