Well, My 103 streetglide is sitting on my lift all torn apart waiting on parts, In my quest for more power I decided on woods 555 cams and stage one porting from scott at Hillside, as I have heard nothing but good about his shop. My 255 cammed bike with a big sucker breather and thunderheader made 89hp and 111 tq. If I come out of this with roughly 105hp and 115 tq, good mid range from 2000 to 5500 rpm, I would be tickled, Why the change? As much as I liked the 255s, I just want more power!!!
I sure hope I made the right choice, many hours spent studying cams and headwork on this forum. As I could not decide between FM 107 or going this way, Price wise they were pretty close.
Exactly. You won't feel a difference IMO. You feel torque, HP is for racing at the top of the rpm range.
Ah yes, that's why I could never feel anything with my ninja's 70 or so ft lbs???? It would run circles around any street harley, everywhere, I know about???? You torque guys crack me up...
so what exhaust are you using or planing on using? That will make a big difference also. Let us know how it works out. Should put some on your face. Enjoy.
