I have the stock 4", a klock werks 6.5, LRS 6" recurve and a LRS 9" recurve. On most days the 6" LRS does the job, but on colder wetter days the 9" is a must. When I feel like something different I use the klock werks but get sick of the looks of it real quick. Wish I hadn't paid what I did for it! I like the stock 4" in the summer when I have the bike stripped back down to Street Glide with no tourpack or lowers. For the price and sales that the LRS have why not get a couple? I never thought I would have used the 9" as much as I do, but the wife loves it and on long rides it has saved me from getting too wet many times.

Klock werks 6.5

LRS 6"

Stock 4"

LRS 9"

I have a recurve from LRS and am very happy with it. Pricing is great, too.

8" LRS but that depends on a person's height and riding position. Aesthetics aside I can tell you one thing you DON'T want is to be looking thru a windshield in the rain.

Stock shield came off a few days after I bought my bike, tested the Wind Splitter and Klock Werks. Got the KW in 6.5".....then I decided I would give LRS a try. So far the LRS is the winner. I have it in the 8''. It's not the low profile look that I like on the Street Glide but I will deal with it.

I just ordered a 6" LRS windshield. I will post something when I have it installed. Hopefully it will be good!

Seems like shields are largely a personal preference thing. What works for one person, might not necessarily work for others. As you can see from some of the replies- some folks go thru several shields looking for the best fit for them and some folks use different shields for different season, riding longer distances, etc.
I feel I got lucky when I replaced mine. I went with a 7" LRS Ultra (recurve shield). At least to me, it seems as though the 7" shield does everything I was looking for it to do. Kind of like my "Goldilocks" shield if you will- not too tall, not too short, just right! I am very happy with LRS products.
I really like the look of the shorter shields on a SG, but couldn't stand the buffeting the stock 4" shield produced. The 7" LRS Ultra solved that pretty much.
According to the LRS website- they are having a 40% "Dust Off" sale right now.
Good luck!

As long as you got yourself the correct size, you will LOVE IT!
