As long as you got yourself the correct size, you will LOVE IT!
I hope I did. If not, I guess I'll have to order another one. I am only 5'9" and I slouch a bit when I ride.....too many years on a non-windshield bike. I figure it will be half the size of the stock windshield and I have to come off the seat to look over it. So, I guess we'll see.
With me, I change the shields as much as I do seats. I like the stock seat for around town, I love the heated hammock in the winter and on more than a few days riding. And I like the sundowner for day long rides . Each sits me in a different position and with each I perfer A different size shield.
Read this tread the other day and ordered a 7" LRS. Came in today but going to snow tomorrow. Will have to wait till next week to try it out. Great price and reviews help make my decision. Hope its a good one.
I have the Clearview 8 inch recurve in dark grey, absolutely love it. As most have already stated, this is truly a personal preference. I chose Clearview for my Road King due to the subtle recurve of their shields, same subtle recurve for the Ultra shield. You will not be disappointed with any of the recurve shields. Good luck!!
I have the 11.5 KlockWerks and I love it. I just got a call from a friend that I sent one to as a gift. He also loves it. Like most things, it's a matter of opinion. All of the shields mentioned are good. Shields are so easy to take in and out, so try to find someone that wouldn't mind allowing you to pop their shield on your bike and trying it out? Good luck and hope you find one that fits you
Wow, again! It seems like a lot of you have the LRS recurve or Klock Werks. Has anyone tried the LRS X-Stream or Stealth. I have not ridden with any, but have learned a little about polycarbonate, and I like the strength of it.
I have heard some negative on the HD windsplitter and Klock Werks, but have not heard anything about the National Cycle V-Stream or Wave windshields.
