Hi! I just bought a second Harley. It's a 2009 Road King Police. I have started to modify the bike. My question is. In the tacho the ABS lamp is located. Will my bike throw codes if I remove the tacho and with that the ABS lamp? I don't want the tacho anymore, I want to clean up around the nacelle and handlebar.
I took the tach off my wifes road king police without any issue, hers in a 2010. To be honest I dont even know if hers has ABS. Wonder if there is anyway to find out.

Look at the tachometer, and see if it has an ABS light. Oh, wait...
That may not work for you...

Look at the front left wheel between the fork leg and wheel bearing. If theres a black sensor with a wire that runs from it up the fork leg; you have an ABS bike. In the back, the ABS sensor is on the right side between the swingarm and hub.
have recently just started thinking about doing this. its now going to be my saturday morning job. you guys have inspired me. idi i will buy you a beer when you show up in west oz.

Yeah I have been all over the bike, I am 99% sure it does not have ABS. I will look again when I get it back from the dealer.
