What are all of you running in your stock shocks? I am 300 lbs and my old lady is 130 lbs... I know the stock shock suck and I need to suck it up and replace them but id like to hear what you all run. Thanks

This is a common subject and was recently discussed here. Air pressure has been a debating topic since the 80s when Harley first installed their air shocks. I don't think I have ever seen a consensus, so be prepared to experiment! Or chuck them in the bin and get some decent ones! If you put 'shocks' into 'Search' you will never be able to read all the results......

I would pump mine up to 15-20psi solo and 25 or slightly higher two up. The issue I had was if I could get the solo/two ride set right for today, it would not be the same tomorrow and I repeated the air in/air out process daily. The ride was not always acceptable. I replaced the air shocks with the HD premium adjustable shocks and they are better ride solo/two up.

on my 11 SG they provide a reccommended guide in the owners manual. I run 26 to 28 when I'm solo. And 40 2 up. I'm 225 with about 10 lbs of stuff in the bags most of the time. The ride feels good and does not bottom out too easily.

I have almost identical payload here and I run 38-40 psi....... not the ride I expected for 20K either. Still in limbo over which replacement shocks to go with.

Ive been keeping it around 40 psi for 2 up. as for the aftermarket shock every one has opinions, i guess im just gonna have to buy something and if they suck i will be out the cash. But you are absolutely correct on it not being the ride expected for over $20,000. The seat change helped a little.

2 up with over 400 lbs, you should run 40-50 lbs to keep from bottoming out.
