Default AIM (adjust in motion) Air Suspension

Coming from a Heritage equiped with a Shotgun Shock on to the Ultra with factory air shocks, I'm not real surprised that the Heritage actually is still the smoother of the two when it comes to the ride. That, and my wife is a little spoiled to me being able to adjust the ride for her back as we ride...

I've looked at a couple of setups that would give us this ability...The Progressive "Air Draggers" with optional compressor, and the Legend Air Suspension kit. I understand JD with Shotgun Shock was working on a system for the touring bikes as well, but haven't heard back from him yet.

Anyone have any experience with any of these systems yet????

Why would you want to go with a compressor, with additional air lines , and increase your chances of springing a leak Just curious. How much are those units installed out the door anyway?

A friend has a setup like that. Not sure which one. He absolutely loves it. Raises and lowers on the run. He'd never reach the ground at a stop without it. Preload adjustable too . He's had it on two bikes without any equipment failures.

The shotgun shock for the Heritage was 1500 installed...best 1500 I EVER spent on that bike, it's a sealed system, CAN'T leak and if the compressor quits and then you are stuck at the height and rebound you are set at when that happens!

The Legend system is running about 1700 with all the extras I would want (handle bar controls, pressure gauage in the faring) plus a a couple of hours to install.

My 2013 came stock with an air gauge but its not very accurate cause it always changes with temperature.

I don't think you understood. you factory gauge is suppose to tell air temp, what I was referring to was a air PSI gauge for you AIR RIDE that this thread was talking about.

That's what I was getting at, but I really did think it was for the shocks when I first got my bike. It should say something like temperature or degrees F instead of air.

No, actually it's a measurement of rider IQ...
