I had this same problem after installing my Woods TW6-6 cams, my miss was very intermittent between 2500-2900 when rolling on the throttle. After talking to Brian a couple times at FM the decision was to add some timing like GaugeMods suggested. I ended up with a 2 degree add in that RPM range and haven't had a problem since.
When I was looking for a base map for my PCV (5) to start with for my bike There were none that had timing changes and close to my build. I finally settled for a map that I thought was a good base and built off that. I couldn't work out the stutter/stumble so I went on a search for a map that had some timing changes in it. I took that map and the one I had worked with and then combined the 2 and I had to start tuning all over as the timing altered the air/fuel ratios.
I did all my own tuning on my bike with the aid of a Innovate Motorsports LM2 Data logger.
And I agree you should call Jammie
If you do add to much timing the auto knock sensor will retard it for you.
But think of it like this these motors are not much different than a 2 cylinder small bock chevy and you wouldn't throw cams and all the changes in it without adding some advance to the ignition curve. So many dealers tune the bikes and never mess with the timing. It's a essential part of the tune to bring out the full potential.

Some of these responses are Chinese to me (VE, CDE) but I'll search and learn about that stuff. It does seem like a timing thing. It runs pretty nice up to around 2500 and then once I get past 2900 it absolutely tries to rip my head off (in a good way). That stumble it does in the middle just seems like its missing something.
