Wow that KIA aka Piece of Crap got cut open like a cheap beer can by a motorcycle! Good ole American Iron! Judging by that nasty gash I would be speaking with both a very good personal injury attorney & a very good plastic sergeon! Keep us posted & good luck! God Bless!
We lost a 26 year old soldier last night near Ft Bragg to some damned woman who turned in front of him. He never had a chance. What ticks me off the worse is that she can only be charged with "misdemeanor death by motor vehicle." WTF - misdemeanor? There is a dead soldier, son, brother! Guess I'm too old and cynical for this new world order.

Let the games begin. The other party has Nationwide. Well I am not happy. They tell me unless I can produce a reciept under twelve months for my jacket they will give me a depricated value($495 Harley Leather). Then tell me it is going to be a few days until an adjuster looks at my bike. But I know my dealer is already ordering new painted parts to speed up the process. Then starts to tell me if something is scratched they can paint it. I stopped argueing with the guy and told I would let my people at the dealer sort it out. Then I talk to seperate adjuster about medical, pain, suffering etc. He tells me to save my reciepts for any antibiotic ointment I may need for my lip, my health coverage will have to go after them to be reimbursed my expenses, and they will reimburse me directly for any co pays. Now this guy has already seen my disfigured lip because I sent him pictures. I just think he had a poor choice of words. But will be at my house tommorow. Trying hard not to hire a mouthpeace, so gonna see what he has to say in person.
WE ARE VERY THANKFUL THIS COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE. IF THE WOMEN WOULD HAVE WAITED ONE FULL SECOND LATER TO TURN SHE WOULD HAVE EASILY HIT US, AND THROWN US FROM THE BIKE.
My wife I and would like to say thank you for everyones encouraging words. This bike is just a bike, and yes it is gonna suck to be without it. But we will grab a rental a few times to make some trips.
glad you are the wife are ok. Based on looking at the posted photos, i would retain counsel and seek compensation for the bike repair, bike rental, all medical bills inclusive of the ambulance and any plastic surgery.

Thank God you're both OK, with all 4 limbs and all 5 senses working! You NEED to hire an attorney-yes, I KNOW they're all blood-sucking skumbaggs, but you will get a much more "generous" settlement if you have a bloodsucker to counter the insurance company's staff of bloodsuckers. I hate even to recommend this advice, but It's a different world today.
Like said before, I usually don't encourage lawsuits but given the unresponsive nature of the dealings and what appears to be a general disregard for your welfare and making things right I would call a serious *** busting attorney. When the adjuster comes over tomorrow, hand him the attorney's phone number and tell him to leave your property. Allow the attorney to deal with it, that's what he gets paid for.

Yeah, after reading your last post, I think I'd go inquire with a big gun. Any of em will talk to you for free, let em pitch you and see what he thinks of your case and chances for recovery. The truth is, without being paralized or having limbs missing, this isn't going to be a mega-money kind of case. But the good side is, even if you don't hire the laywer, you'll still have his card to flash at the adjuster.....I'd do that and tell him that your seriously thinking about a lawyer.......to call you in a few days. Then just watch is *** slam shut!!!!
