Default General Yaffe MBB Question

I just finished pulling the wires on my 10" Bagger Bars using cable and conduit lube. I used shrink wrap on the control wires for the whole length and ran the Screaming Eagle TGS. My question is, does Yaffe do anything to the inside of the bars at the points when they make the 90 degree down turn. I had to pull pretty hard to get the wires ran and I am worried I could have damaged the insulation. I already checked to see if any of the wires are grounded and everything is ok. My concern is that the insulation could wear over time with the vibration.

Don't think they do anything, had to pull the tbw back out and resoder 3 of the wires. It shredded it like a knife. It was a huge pain in the ace! Everything works fine, I see your concern. Time will only tell thou.

They supposedly debur the inside so you shouldn't have sharp edges. I didn't have any problems when I pulled the wires through. But I did notice that my plastic factory sleeve had cuts in it when I pulled the wires back out on my latest bar swap.

The best thing you can do is not worry about it since you checked for grounding already. As the above post stated, time will tell.

Thanks for the responses. Has anyone heard of issues with the internal wiring on these bars over time? I have searched the forums and not found any information.

they do a crap job!!i just did a set and never had so much trouble. They just slap them together and figure its our problem getting wires through. i must of spent hours redoing wires i will never buy their bars again.I have br bars on other bike and the wires pulled through like nothing and same amount of wires.that must be the difference with a company that does great work and a company that is making the bucks.

I just did my bars no problems, patience is key....it would get hard to pull, I took it out and relubed it,then it would slide in...I used shrink wrap, but didnt shrink it, it stiffens up and makes it harder to bend...I have no issues so far...

Just a thought, if you're worried about if's and maybes...you should get someone to do the work for you...you shouldnt be riding thinking if something is going to go wrong...deal with it when it happens...best of luck

I mounted mine 3 years ago and still no problems in wires or controls.
