Problem with CB antenna, help
I could have fought with them over it, but this would be my third battle with them and for the 20.00 bucks it just wasn't worth it.
Thanks for the info on Freedomcycle.
Joe
Talk to Keith in parts...he may be a little more helpful...the scoot has a 24 month warranty and the radio longer than that...Chick himself may be approachable if you handle him nicely....we (NM folks) drop a large chunk there....they are not doing all that great though....the demand is dropping off considerably since Honda is big here and EasyRiders does OK as well (Chick and te Easy Rider guy were both bankers before obtainng dealerships).
Who was your salesman????
Salesman was Mike Carson. Talked with him today; he gave me tha name of the gal that handles warranty issues, but she had already left for the day. Mad Mike (service dept) said he thought it should be covered, but the parts counter guy wasn't so sympathetic. We'll see what a phone call tomorrow brings. Bets bet seems to be the FreedomCycle shorties.
Where the heck have you been? I was beginning to think you went back to Metrics.

That's some serious riding. Glad you are enjoying the ride. Next time we're in Albuquerque with the Grandkids I'll give you a call and see if we can get together for a cup.

1 FT CB or AM/FM Ant Staff Upgrade â89-â08 Harley Trunk Mount ONLY
HRUP-ATM

We are very excited to release our new shorty-style antenna staff-upgrade for Harley audio systems.
At just over 1â in length, these replacement staffs have been designed specifically for the Harley CB radio cable/load system (pre-tuned for the CB, NO-SWR adjustment necessary) and also the Harley AM/FM portion of the audio system (same antenna) for the tail-trunk mounting position ONLY.
These antennas will fit the Harley tail trunk mounted antenna studs for years 1989-2008 as original equipment on all dressers, Ultraâs and RoadGlides.
No other shorty-style antenna on the market today has been engineered to perform as well or better than the factory Harley antennas, like this new antenna from J&M.
Installation is a snap as you just loosen the set screw on the factory Harley antenna, unscrew it from the mounting stud, screw on the new J&M antenna and re-tighten the Allen set screw.
All this can be performed in a matter of minutes with little or no mechanical skills.
These antennas are covered by J&Mâs two year warranty and will provide you with years of trouble free service.
If for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return them back thru your selling dealer for a refund, no questions asked.
Sold and packaged individually for your convenience.
