Debating on their Ultra, Elite or Flat Top. Came across this website that talks about the difference between Polycarbonate and Acrylic.
The video they show is interesting. I guess if you were planning on getting in a gun fight or having someone throw a brick at you, you might want to consider the Polycarb. http://www.coloradoplastics.com/blog...Acrylic-Lucite
They do mention it scratches easier than Acrylic. My stock windshield on my Electra Glide still looks pretty good for its 5th season. Im assuming HD uses acrylic but im not sure.
For those that bought the Flat top, did you really see that much of a difference for the passenger? Any pics would be appreciated.
Edit: Took the windshield off today to replace some gauge lamps and printed on the HD windsheild is Lexan (Polycarbonate). I was all ready to go with the Ultra or Flat Top and now im reconsidering the Ultra Elite.
I purchased the 10: Ultra LRS shield and I love it. It shoots the wind about 6" over my head and the optics thru the shield - even the "flip up" part is perfect! I am 6'2" tall and I can see over it when I drive and bugs even get thrown over my head nicely. I drive a 2013 FLHX. Thank you for making this product for us at a very affordable price.
