Seems everything I buy is that way. I had a 68 GTO and everything seemed to be one year only. I also had an 06 Dyna where there were a fair amount of "trial" parts on it. That one wasn't bad though, some of the changes afterwards weren't for the better like gearing.

Of course it is a one off! It is the year I chose to buy my only brand new HD motorcycle!!!

The six gallon tank came out in 2008. That's why the seats for your bike are for 2008 and up, even though 2008 has the "old frame."
