OK... YOU please tell me how to fight it (the true scenario described) and recover the $350 (and all the other losses incurred)...
When they send you the tix they ask you if in fact you were the driver. If you say no they tend to drop it. Cali can be highly debatable with cameras. As said that's one reason why they are being removed.

YOU/I WISH it was that "...simple..." Fact is that it is NOT... I can tell you Guys have not been through this 'due process-less new democracy'... I hope you never experience it but you prolly will eventually... Some younger folks who have grown up with it/voted/opted for it may never be the wiser unfortunately...
I adequately stated the problem/scenario(s) and put out the warning with enough info/details for the experienced/wise to discern... Yes, some are opting not to install cameras and yes some are removing them and yes there is a movement to fight them... BUT, if what happened to me, happens to YOU, my friend YOU are in for a very rude awakening and an expensive/frustrating 'ride'... Just saying... Not going to take anymore time on this thread... I rest my case... Good luck to all...
I have no problems with red light cameras, don't run red lights. One of the things I had the most of moving down south had been the number of red light runners. When I lived in PA, you had people rush through a yellow that would turn red while they went through it, but down here in NC, people will run red lights 3 or seconds after it's red.
Company run camera systems are wrong, how it's being used in most states is wrong. But, I like the idea of red light camera's. Back when I took drivers ed, a yellow light meant to slow down and get ready to stop, not speed up and try to make it before the red.
For those that don't know its not a violation as long as the rear axle has cleared the last crosswalk line before the intersection. And right turn on red cameras click every time the light changes, to send out more revenue generating tax. At least thats what my cop buddies tell me here in Calif. BS if you ask me.

Sorry you had a tough time, but did you EVER go to court for it? You can bitch about it all you want but unless you actually went to court and can provide details, then it doesn't matter.

Conceptually I don't either.
HOWEVER one minor and one major problem.
Minor - people slam on their brakes causing more problems.
Major - errors in the system and worse, shortened yellow light intervals to make more money. Reasons why they are being removed.

FYI... Lack of due process means/includes denied a day in court... "Pay the fine or loose your license and THEN YOU can go to court"...
