I have been to Sturgis for the past 11 years,. Rolled through every stop sign in town that I came to. I did get stopped at 3 am a couple years back. They were looking for DUI's and drugs at that time and since I was a non drinker and had no drugs (I confessed to over eating on occasion) they let me go with a warning. I was "rolling" through that stop sign at 25 mph.
Under Florida law, your vehicle must come to a complete stop prior to entering the intersection. I, like most competent riders, am able to come to a complete stop, albeit for only a short time, without putting my feet down. Many of my brothers in blue who don't ride, or don't ride very well, don't believe you can do this, hense the assumption of not stopping.
