The suspense is killing me. How does a twin cam hide 4 quarts of oil? I'm dying
To find out where it all went....

Default Lost oil saga ............

I am scratching my head too ! WTH ? Perhaps you need to take the weekend off and hang out with some new strippers or something to get your mind off of this lost oil bit for a few hours. I would follow the advice of a previous member who mentioned drain everything and go back with correct amounts and a new filter. Run the motor and watch it carefully. Next I would cut open the oil filter that is on it now and dissect that unit and examine each piece thoroughly.
Good luck with the strippers and keep us posted !

Maybe he's old like me. In my case it would be possible that I remembered the last time I did a service I put the oil in and confused it with this time!

Just a wild thought. Anyway it would explain why there is no leak and no oil anywhere. That is why the just start over suggestion is the best bet for moving forward.

It's Gremlins I'm telling you. Sneaking in behind his back and siphoning off his fluids. Hanging around to watch this Houdini disappearance act.

why are you guys saying replace the filter a filter can not hide a gallon of oil
a filter can not redirect a gallon of oil to any where else
a filter can leak and get oil all over everything but that is not the case
a filter cost about 1400 for a chrome one I would not change the filter he just put a new one on

It might be easier to just keep adding oil till something shows up.

Do you have two Harleys...One you changed and One other one you re- filled?

This is the best suspense I've had in a while..
