Default quadzilla fairings

I have an 02 Roadking. I bought a roadking because i dont really like the look of a full fairing. I met a guy a few nights ago though that had a quadzilla fairing on his Softail. It looked pretty badass. and having music and stuff is starting to temp me.

Anybody use this? He claimed it came off easy. Can it be removed so I only use it for long rides? What do you guys think about an after market fairing like this?

Also, Im planning on putting on 16" carlini gangster apes. They probably wouldnt fit with a fairing, right?

Nah, don't take it personal... probably just not many folks on today with quadzilla experience. Buddy of mine bought one for his Kaw boulevard over the winter. It fits well and looks good but he hasn't added any goodies to the shell yet. He said the wind is much improved over having just a shield, and though the install was a bit of a PITA, it was well worth it. He has no plans to pull it off for any reason.
Sorry I can't help with Harley or personal experience.

I use to have a Dragonfly fairing on prior bike and once it went on hardly ever came off. All of then basically mount on the removeable HD windshield hardware mounts. Plenty of info on here about them using search checkout Dragonfly, Woody's & Deadcenter fairings too.

I had one on my Suzuki Boulevard last summer, it was nice to have tunes and wind protection was good but I wasn't all that impressed. The quality was, imho, not so great and it never quite sat right on the bike no matter what I did. Rubbed on the headlight...the other thing I didn't like so much was that it always seemed loose and bounced a fair amount in the wind. Probably back to the lack of quality. When you split the 2 halves it is real thin and flimsy compared to the HD ones. The finish isn't all that fantastic either so expect some repair work before you can get it painted if you're picky at all.

I can tell you this, if I did consider an aftermarket fairing I would look elsewhere and because they're supposed to be one of the best out there, I probably will not buy another aftermarket fairing. As for removal, it was a real PITA to get it off, you have to split the 2 halves and essentially take the whole thing apart. About a 1.5 hour project. I hope this helps.

I have the quadzilla. Easy on and off, only takes a minute or so. I leave it on most of the time. Sound quality is great. It cranks!
