Default Need some Help!!!

I am trying to do the rear AUX jack on the Harmon Kardon radio so I can hook up my zumo 660 into the rear of the radio instead of running an AUX cable to the front. I have done the mod, but I have no AUX now. When I opened my AUX cable, I had a BLACK, RED and a BARE wire. I ran the BLACK wire as RIGHT channel +, RED as LEFT channel + and the BARE wire as my COMMON - (ground). However, after I install my radio and plug my phone into the AUX jack in the front and back, nothing happens. When I scroll through the mode settings to find AUX, it is not listed. I used the directions listed on this side www.hdbomm.com in order to do the mod. Does anybody have any suggestions. The only thing that I can think of, is when I was removing the component that the directions state to remove, the solder iron hit one of the components next to it. So I don't know if that has anything to do with it or what. I still have WB, FM, and AM.

I have now tried to switch the red and black cables and still the same result as stated above. I'm stumped.

The only thing I can see going wrong with this mod, when you removed the component circled in red, when you were applying heat to the back of it, leftover solder is touching something else creating a short. Thats my educated guess just from looking at the link you sent. Try posting this in the audio section for more results. Good luck

I tried doing the same thing by removing the component instead of cutting the circuit. Never did get it to work that way.

Ended up sending it out to Iron Cross Audo and they fixed the issue. I shorted out the AUX circuit board. Went from paying from 65 to do the mod plus 20 to ship to 260 to fix my f*** up and 20 to ship. 260 dollar mistake lol.
