I am the proud owner of a 2007 FLHTC, it has 48k miles and is totally stock. I am wanting better performance and a bit more power out of it. Does anyone have any input on dynojet or any thing else that might improve performance. I am not looking to ride like a bat out of hell but I would like abit more power on the highway and around town. Any suggestions appreciated.
The first dollars you spend result in the greatest return on your money. Stage II (in my case,) resulted in HP jumping to 85 and torque close to 95 ft/lbs. That's nearly 30% over stock. It involves new pistons, cams, high flow air cleaner. your choice of exhaust and an ECM remap. No head work involved, and can be had for around $2,000 in parts.
Remember, you've got the '07 with the weakest crank HD ever installed. ( They even changed vendors for the '08 model year after it was discovered.) So I wouldn't go too much farther than that until I addressed that issue too.
On my 2010 EGC, I installed Andrews 54 cams, CNC ported 103 head/w ACR, TTS mastertuner, stage 1 A/C, catless head pipes, and American Custom slip-ons. I used the 54 cams because the noise level on the exhaust doesn't change much. I went from 69hp and 72lb tq, to 96hp and 96lb tq. The tuner at the dyno said I could get more tq with better exhaust. But the couple of lb's of tq to me is not worth the extra expense for new pipes.
Stage 1 (A/C, Slipons + tuner/tune) will get about a 10% improvement in power. Adding cams can give ya 30% over stock with good reliability. IMHO pushing over 100hp with a stock pressed crank is asking for trouble.

I have the solution for you. Go to fuelmotousa and buy one of the Powerpackages. Air cleaner, slip ons and Dynojet PowerVision. I love mine, have 47+K on it and it is running like a raped ape.
I like the Supertrapp SE mufflers, they are low, deep and don't over power you at cruise speed but they bark when you get on on the throttle.
The overall system will give you much better power, especially from 1900rpm through to 5K but best where you need it most down low.
Not only that the bike will run much cooler.
I would also suggest you invest in the IDS drive sprocket if you dont already have it. It will give you much smoother ride. It was a etrofit for the 07s when they added it to the standard bike for the 08s.
