2006 Bagger, last Wed. the LCD display on my receiver went blank. The radio still works fine, and I can navigate through it blindly to access the functions. I notice that it is still backlit in the darkness of the garage. Fuses are fine. I took it out and inspected it (like I knew what I was doing?) but couldn't figure anything out. Anyone have any ideas why an LCD display stops displaying?
IRON CROSS AUDIO!!! I bought my 2006 street glide with this exact same problem got in touch with these guys and they said the 2006 was known for this problem 4-5 days and $250 dollars later my radio works flawlessly!!!

IN the dark
Just sent my 09 radio in for the same.. I was told that it's likely electrical related.. Too much or too little voltage.
My case the internal amp failed, likely causing the voltage fluctuations... Fingers crossed.
You checked fuses? You took it out? What "bagger" do you have??
Fuses were fine, changed with new anyway. Removed radio, disassembled to the point of removing LCD unit away from the circuit board immediately behind/attached to it. Noticed some discoloration which looked like it could have been mold, and cleaned it with alcohol and a Q-Tip. It looked better, but not perfect when I was done. Re-assembled and re-installed but there was no improvement (just happy I didn't wreck anything).
My bike is a 2006 UltraClassic.

A recent thread talked about intermittent contact between the pins where the display board plug connects to the main board. The author very slightly bent the pins to provide better contact. Fixed his display issues.
