I believe that connector is for one of the accessory switches on the back of the nacelle. Do all the lights on the front end work?

Yeah, all the front end lights work which are operated by the toggle switch on the right hand side, this connector hangs from below the left hand side.

As I understand the toggle switch on the left is for an accessory (if/when added) so it may have been connected to some GPS unit? Got me beat.

I know there are a lot of unused cables on my bike, like one that should go to an alarm speaker. Could that be for heated hand grips? Next time you have the front part of the fairing off, track it back to whatever it hooks into, and check the service manual to see what it goes to. In the meantime, get it out of the weather...

If you remove the headlight from the nacelle, you'll find its mate. Since you're passing lights work, it is for your accessory switch. The white connectors allow for easy disconnection/removal of the nacelle halves.

Ok so had some spare time this arvo and removed the headlight to search for the other end of the connector hanging down in the photo and that white connector is connected to the toggle switch on the left hand side however I couldn't find a disconnected connector to join it to, any ideas as previous owner is uncontactable?

It is for your choice of accessories that you don't have any of. Mine is hooked to an auxiliary 12 volt outlet. If you currently have no use for it, just tuck it back up in the nacelle.

Thanks guys, the previous owner did a bit of touring so wonder if he had a GPS set up happening. Handy to know I can use this for a future accessory. Cheers.
