Default Strap removal from OEM seat?

I just switched out the OEM seat on my roadking for a solo seat and was wondering what ya'll have done with the strap that went over the original seat for the passenger to supposedly hold onto. My wife just always holds onto me and presses her tatas against my back lol..

Being that the strap screws in on one side and is riveted on the other, my inclination is to just cut it off, but the pack rat in me hates to throw anything away lol.. I guess I could just roll it up and tuck it under the seat, but I didnt really like the idea of it just sitting there on top of the battery and everything else.

Any other ideas?

I removed mine including the chrome brackets that hold it. You only need them for the strap. I can put it back on if I want to at any time.

I unbolted mine, I think from the right side (2010 Ultra) and put it in the box with my oem seat. It's now sitting in the attic. I'll put it back on before I sell or trade.
The strap wouldn't fit the Hammock seat.

That strap is a highly sophisticated safety apparatus. Where else are you going to hang your sunglasses from when getting ready.

My wife doesn't use it to hold on but we use it to strap her Butty Buddy down.

That. In case you want to sell it with the OEM seat (with the stupid pointless strap.)

I cut off the strap but left the rivet and the small leather piece attached to the bike. I don't even notice the rivet.
