Yes I have. I don't fit the criteria to fit a GW. They are made for a small amount of peep. If your too tall or too short, your screwed. No mods made to fit all peeps for GW's. I ride with 4 different people that had GW's and went to HD, and will never go back to the GW.

Done lots of high milage roadtrip days with and without 'em.Wouldn't go without foot board extensions...but don't care much about highway pegs.Don't see it often but it cracks me up when someones coming up the road and got their feet way out and up like a girl in the stirrups for a Gynecologist exam.

I didn't like the way the GW fit me either. Too tall was my conclusion. I'm too tall for the UC as well, but it fit a lot better in stock form than the GW, or BMW, or Can-AM Spyder!

Most riders don't need highway pegs, especially the vertically challenged ones (feeling PC tonight ).......but if you really do some touring you'll be glad they are on there no matter how they look......even if all you do is shift your foot to rest your toe on them!

On every bike I own I have Highway pegs AND heel rests on the Highway pegs also.

I ride far too many miles each year to sacrifice comfort for looks.

I installed my HWY pegs low enough so I can rest my heels on the floor boards and my toes on the pegs. I can also comfortably rest insole on the pegs to stretch out. Take a look at floor board extensions, they provide you with 3/4" more room.

Pegs and mounts are two different things. Those are HD pegs, not necessarily HD mounts for the pegs.

When I originally installed mine, I had them positioned like that. However, I have big, fat feet and the pegs sometimes got in the way of the brake pedal.

Because of that, I had to move them up a bit.

I can't rest my heel on the floorboard anymore, but on long rides, those pegs are a must!

Ditto the above response. That said, there are great looking pegs. I use the Harley brand "airfoil" for both my riding pegs and the passenger pegs. I have them reversed foil*, with the rubber forward so that it grips my boot heel at full stretch, but they are set up height and angle wise for my heel on the floorboard, upper ball of the boot on the peg, or the arch of the boot on the peg with my knees slightly bent. Both of these positions are good for lots of miles. Longest one day run this past summer was 650 miles and hwy pegs made it possible with far fewer stops.
