2006 FLHPI key question

2006 FLHPI key question

Do you leave the key in the ignition or can you take it out? I just got my bike and they lost the keys. But ts unlocked and when I turn the switch on the tank clockwise I hear the fuel pump noise but nothing happens when I press start button. Do you need key in all the time? BTW I ordered new keys but it takes 10 days.
In the mean time any trick to start without the key??

you dont need the key. is the bike in neutral when you are trying to start it? if not, you'll need to hold the clutch. safer just to have it in neutral though...

Of course!! I own a Victory kingpin and a sportser. I think there is some electrical problem. When I press run lever it turns on but nothing when I start. Where do I start?

Kill Switch?
Check fuses?

BTW how do you bypass ignition and start by connecting to starter solenoid? I see a thick red wire going in the starter.
