What is scary is the thought that the feds would follow suit and make the rest of us follow suit.

Drove to Cali one year from Idaho... Yeaaaah never seen so many "Do not do this" signs. As well the places I saw LA, Sacramento, Anaheim No it's real it was nasty The city's were so dirty and un kept. I know there are pretty places in Cal. But wow those places we went to amazing the place looked like that. Went into a 7-11 there and the cashier was behind a bullet proof slide drawer thingie. Like really? wow.

That sucks they are ramming all those laws on you like that. But as stated if it starts in California it will probably one day work it's way across the US.

True. If you get pulled over for loud exhaust or they start checking compliance, 2013+ bikes will be required to meet the new law.

True, but temporary if history repeats itself. Like epa canisters were a Cali only thing now everyone has Caty converters...

And realistically, how much do motorcycles contribute to air pollution? I'd venture to say just a couple of percent compared to all the millions of cars and commercial trucks on the road. Motorcycles are realatively small engines that typically average 40 plus miles per gallon. We should be thanked and possibly given some sort of an incentive for more people to ride to reduce our useage of fossil fuel, reducing the amount of air pollution being produced, and reducing congestion on the roads. Instead we are harrased for pipes"being too loud". And now ever more stringent arb regulations. Motoercycles are an. Insignificant contributer to air pollution.
