Keep electing tree hugging liberals that make these insane enviromental laws...I don't care what they do in that "country" California because I dont live there

If that ain't the pot calling the kettle black I don't what is!
The real problem is the environmentalist groups have such a strangle hold on our government it's impossible to get free from it.
Some of the richest people in the world fund these groups and the politicians do exactly what they say.
They use our courts and their money to influence and take away freedoms we take for granted.
We have lost so much in the past twenty years it's hard to keep up.
Yeaaaah never seen so many "Do not do this" signs. As well the places I saw LA, Sacramento, Anaheim No it's real it was nasty The city's were so dirty and un kept. I know there are pretty places in Cal. But wow those places we went to amazing the place looked like that.
My friends and I are riding through Idaho next month on our way to Flat Head Lake Montana. Great riding, love it. Next time you come to California I can recommend better riding and more attractive scenery than Sacramento, LA and Anaheim.

You should care. The environmental laws that you mention are national laws enacted by the EPA. California is just one of the few states enforcing them.
On the bright side, I recently read where Phoenix recently ended smog testing. Maricopa county Arizona was the last place in the state that required it. The state legislators apparently passed legislation in 2008 to end the testing but were waiting for the EPA to approve the termination of the testing. The EPA apparently finally approved it!
And realistically, how much do motorcycles contribute to air pollution? I'd venture to say just a couple of percent compared to all the millions of cars and commercial trucks on the road. Motorcycles are realatively small engines that typically average 40 plus miles per gallon. We should be thanked and possibly given some sort of an incentive for more people to ride to reduce our useage of fossil fuel, reducing the amount of air pollution being produced, and reducing congestion on the roads. Instead we are harrased for pipes"being too loud". And now ever more stringent arb regulations. Motoercycles are an. Insignificant contributer to air pollution.
I love my loud and free flowing pipes but realistically my Harleys probably pollute way more then combining all my 5 cars and the motor home. Most of the cars these day have PZEV sticker or LEV except high performance cars.
I drive a hybrid 25k miles a year for work. It more then makes up for whatever crap my bikes dump into the atmosphere.
I am only aware of the 2013 and newer EPA stamped/approved mufflers law in CA. I have not yet heard of any enforcement of same nor have I heard of kind of MC emissions enforcement.
