I asked this question the other day and I am hoping for more feedback.
I had my dealer install the HD batwing mini apes and the clutch requires a lot of effort to pull. They are saying the pull is normal for the combination of bars and cables. My buddy has 13" bars and his clutch pulls easy. The dealer said maybe I need an easy clutch kit installed.
Had they told me the clutch would be this stiff I would not have spent the money for them, I'm quite disappointed so far.
Anyone with these bars have input for me as to how your clutch works or ideas on the easy clutch kit.
Run Forest Ruuuuunnnnnnn! Whoever told you that is ignorant, or thinks you are.
I have Harley/ drag specialties braided cables. I did the entire install of my wo 578 bars myself. the clutch was stiff at first. then I adjusted the primary bolt itself because I had no play in the clutch and couldn't feather it and it got better. the cable will stretch some just give it a week or so. look at the gap between the clutch lever housing and the cable end going in. pull on the cable when you do this if its more then 1/8 inch you got to much if its less then 1/16 you need to adjust it. a manual explains everything about this. if you don't have one id get one before going and telling the dealer they jacked something up.
also DONT COMPARE YOUR BIKE TO SOMEONE ELSES. this is just silly to think your bikes clutch will feel the same as your buddies. ever drove a car/truch where the clutch was just the same if your saying yes im calling bs. so ride the bike give it time and it will get easyer to pull

I had a set of the HD bat wing mini apes installed when I bought my bike (2013 SG). I know they used longer cables (not sure what length though) If anything I think my clutch is too easy to pull but I'm probably wrong about that. However there is no way I would consider it too hard to pull so there has to be something messed up. just my $.02
Unless they screwed something up inside the trans cover when installing the new cable, adding a new cable does not affect to pull resistance.
If they used a cable thats too long & kinked it inside the fairing that will add rersistance to the pull. If the cable is twisted too much during installation, that can do it too.
Pull the outer fairing & check the cable routing. If all looks good then remove the cable from the clutch lever & let it relax & reinstall.
