Well they are worn enough to make metal to metal contact with feet on.I can even jiggle them back and forth with my fingers enough to make contact,(Not sure about the 2011's and later, They changed the tops of the boards) So not wanting to wait another week and pay 80 bucks for the inserts. I got creative, With the 4 rubber grommets I no longer needed on my exhaust. I lifted the top half of my right footboard with a screwdriver and slid them in,(The right was worse than the left for some reason) In a rectangular shape, 2 inside 2 outside corners.(they measure 3/8" thick, 1" round, with a 5/16" hole in center), they propped the top up flat and firm yet still more or less coushioned.(Looked good as new, slightly higher than the left) The buzzing vibration was a LOT LESS noticable, almost gone, Much less than the left now. So first thing tomorrow I'm running over to ACE Hardware and getting a dozen, Should be about $2.50 worth, gonna put 3 inside edge, 3 outside edge of each footboard. Filling the holes in the center with Permatex Silicone to keep em put. And I also noticed the mounts for the inserts are hollow bubbles,I'm going to pump some silicone in all of them too. They will be a lot firmer yet still coushined. We'll see how well/how long that lasts. My next option will be the Glide-Pro front motormounts. But I hate just throwing parts/money at a problem,Basically just guessing till I fix it. But the inserts are worn and this is a cheap fix. I'll let y'all know how it works out.
That's interesting. Mine also make contact. I was just going to replace the rubbers but may try some local hardware store pieces myself? I guess mine are not worn enough that the occasional contact is bothersome yet? I'd be very interested in your assessment of the glide pro mounts verses stock. I've heard a mixed bag. Some say it makes the bike much smoother but a few say they are too stiff and much like the later Harley OEM mounts, actually increases vibes. Please keep us posted.

Well, I finnished my footboard mod, Worked out ok as far as firming and flattening and raising em up so they dont rattle... But the vibration is still there between 2-3k rpm ;p I pulled the tops completly off for a better look and 5 of the 8 bubbles were split at the seams and dry cracking all around. Filled em all with 100% silicone caulk also.It says it does'nt shrink or freeze, can withstand 400*F and stays flexible. The whole thing ended up costing $17.50. spent more time running around town trying to find 3/8" grommets. Could not find anything else rubber the right thickness. They should last a very long time now at least till the top side wears out. Going to have to wait a while on the motormounts, Maybe somebody will solve this before then. Meanwhile Im setting up my guages on the PV to pin down exactly the RPM,MAP range that I feel the buzz and pull a little more timing and hope.

For what it's worth, I have a 2010 and Cyclsmith Bannana boards. They have no isolators. I feel no vibration.

I did however have an issue in the beginning with my power dual shield hitting my floorboard mounts. Now that drove me insane. Never felt it with stock boards because I had the floorboard spacers installed. Looked like frickin pontoons with the bannana boards so I removed them. Was able to tweak the shield enough to make them clear.

That was my first thought. I also have extensions and extended brake pedal I double checked,My shields have plenty of clearance,Even got new heavier marine grade stainless hose clamps. Had the whole exhaust off twice, Modified the S&S header by welding on a bracket to bolt it on the stock mount on the side of tranny,And made a heaver bracket to hang the crossunder from the rear of tranny,New rubber on muffler hangers also.(put some pics of my mod in an album for all to see)Painted the headers black while I was at it. The S&S system was chewing up the grommets that hung the whole assembly from the bottom/rear of tranny.Thought for sure that would stop the vibes. No such luck. It feels like is definitely engine rpm related How its transfering to the frame/footboards I don't know. but why only between 2-3K rpm. I may still be able to tune it out, I've learned that can be a sign of slightly too advanced timing. The front Motormounts look OK and theres no extreme movement,But maybe I bent a motormount Bolt on a bad bump?. Those suckers are ridiculous expensive!

Hi guys I to have a vibration/buzz on 12 SG but I think mine is more serious I took in to the dealer a while back for this and they said noting wrong it's normal. I rode it today for the first time in a couple a months and went about 100 miles and I can feel it more in the seat than anything bike only has 3500 miles on it I think it's rediculous we have to deal with this I trade a perfectly good 06 deuce in with out these problems due to my back deteriating and now this SG is worse on my back than the deuce. I have also check everything, Think I'm gonna take back to dealer still under warranty and let them deal with it
